Tim Reardon is currently the Market Vice President Canada West overseeing 26 Managed by Marriott hotels from Manitoba to British Columbia.
Most recently he was the Area General Manager of Central Ontario and the General Manager of the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel since 2017. With more than 25 years of experience in the Starwood and Marriott family, Tim has proven his passion and dedication to the hospitality industry by progressively building his experience at Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel, Sheraton Atlantic City, Westin Harbour Castle, Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport and the Le Meridien King Edward Hotel in Toronto.
Starting his Sheraton career as food and beverage manager, Tim continued with several leadership roles including director of food and beverage, director of operations, new builds and transitions at Starwood North America and general manager. Tim has held the General Manager position at the Le Meridien King Edward Hotel, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, the Westin Harbour Castle and now the Sheraton Centre. Now, as general manager of Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Tim is a highly motivated leader who prioritizes his team’s personal and professional development while ensuring the hotel’s daily operations run smoothly. He’s known for strategically driving revenue, associate satisfaction and guest metrics during his tenure at each hotel.
He recently spearheaded a complete revitalization of Marriott’s largest Canadian asset where he reimagined all of the public spaces including the food & beverage experience in the lobby, the motor court, Club Lounge, pool deck and new outdoor event space. In this, he was one of the first hotels in North America to introduce Sheraton’s new brand concepts.
Tim was recently promoted into the role of Area General Manager of Greater Ontario where he oversees hotels in Toronto, Guelph, Waterloo, Gravenhurst, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay and Markham.
Tim believes his personal and professional responsibilities don’t end at work and he is also very active in the tourism community where he is the Chair of the Board for the Greater Toronto Hotel Association and sits on the boards of Destination Toronto and Chaine de Rotisseurs, SKAL Toronto North and is a Member of Advisory Councils for both George Brown College and Seneca College. He is also a member of Marriott’s General Manager Advisory Council.
Tim has recently been awarded Hotelier of the Year 2023 by Hotelier Magazine, General Manager of the Year 2022, US & Canada – Marriott, International and won General Manager of the Year, 2018 Canada - Marriott, International
In his personal time, Tim enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife Bonnie and 12 year old daughter Abigail. He has participated in 12 rides to Conquer Cancer as part of his give back to the community.
